Hey guys I know it’s been a while, I’m sorry I have been off. I can’t really say what really kept me away but be sure that I am back now.
Today I just want to guys to know about these two amazing events coming. I’m super excited about them but unfortunately I won’t be able to attend both because of my exams.
- The first is the African young chefs competition.
The competition is the first of its kind anchored by the Beautiful and talented CEO of Culinary academy Chef Tiyan Alile .The African Young Chefs’ Competition has been designed by the Culinary Academy and the Culinary Arts Practitioners Association to Foster Friendships and Collaborations between young chefs and schools, to recognise and Reward Talent andto encourage Healthy Competition amongst colleagues which is geared towards Learning and an all round Improvement in the Skills required for the hospitality industry.The Competition which would be the first ever of its’ kind, showcasing Chefs across the continent would have the following benefitsSkills Development: Selected students are exposed to deeper training and skill building and would hone deeper culinary excellence.Mentor Appreciation: The competition creates a platform to recognise and appreciate a faculty of Instructors across the continent.Pan- African Development: An opportunity to provide a platform and a network for Young chefs across Africa to have access to potential employers.Broaden the Economy: The arrival of potentially 60 foreigners over a 4-5 day period would positively affect the bottom line of private and public earning.
- The second event is the Gtbank‘s annual Food & Drink Fair
It is a 2-day food exhibition and sales event that aims to project the diverse angles of the food industry by connecting various businesses involved in the production and sale of food related items to a cosmopolitan audience of food enthusiasts.At the food and drink fair there will be a wide variety offood exhibitorsshowcasing and selling food products ranging from fresh organic groceries to dry foods, confectionary and pastries, ready to eat consumables, top quality crockery and wine & champagnes.In addition to theexhibitionand sales, the GTBank Food & Drink event will also offer culinary experiences such as food and wine tastings, cooking master classes with renownedInternational and Nigerian chefs, outdoor grills and thrilling entertainment.The exhibition will host more than 70 food exhibitors across 2,400m2of exhibition space within the Food & Drink Centre at Plot 1, Water Corporation drive, Oniru, Victoria-Island, Lagos on the 30th of April and 1stof May, 2017. Attendance is free.
